Man, it's been a while since I was on my own blog... I need to get with it. I haven't listened to U2's new album yet - mainly because I haven't read many good reviews. Although their concerts are some of the best I've ever been to, I'm not so crazy about their albums that I have to have every single one as soon as they come out. As far as this particular post goes, I think I wrote this right about the time a friend of mine told me that Hannah Montana was his little girl's favorite show - which I think is ridiculous. I guess my point is that not only are her lyrics - as well as some of the things on her show - not appropriate for young girls (or even teens for that matter), but it's not even good - talent wise. Then I thought, well, there's sure not a whole lot out there that is, which made me think of the Magnificant. Thanks John. Man, it’s been a while since I was on my own blog… I need to get with it. A few months back, lots of folks were drawing parallels between U2's "Magnificent" and The Magnificat. I think the parallels are a little more favorable in that case, and it's a pretty great song (the only one on their new album, unfortunately).
