Thanks John. Man, it's been a while since I was on my own blog... I need to get with it. I haven't listened to U2's new album yet - mainly because I haven't read many good reviews. Although their concerts are some of the best I've ever been to, I'm not so crazy about their albums that I have to have every single one as soon as they come out. As far as this particular post goes, I think I wrote this right about the time a friend of mine told me that Hannah Montana was his little girl's favorite show - which I think is ridiculous. I guess my point is that not only are her lyrics - as well as some of the things on her show - not appropriate for young girls (or even teens for that matter), but it's not even good - talent wise. Then I thought, well, there's sure not a whole lot out there that is, which made me think of the Magnificant.

Hey Bri, just ran across this and gotta say, the Magnificat is just about the most beautiful thing there is. A few months back, lots of folks were drawing parallels between U2's "Magnificent" and The Magnificat. I think the parallels are a little more favorable in that case, and it's a pretty great song (the only one on their new album, unfortunately). Anyway, if that title is yours originally, it's brilliant.
